Netflix’s latest thriller, The Whisper Man, delves into the chilling world of serial killers through the story of a father and son entangled in a perilous investigation following the mysterious disappearance of a child. The narrative unfolds with Adam Scott portraying Tom Kennedy, a crime novelist who, after the loss of his wife, moves back to his hometown with his young son, Jake. Their return unwittingly coincides with a spate of child abductions, eerily reminiscent of the crimes committed by a serial killer now behind bars.
Robert De Niro takes on the role of Pete, a retired detective and Tom’s estranged father, who once played a crucial role in capturing the notorious killer. Pete is reluctantly drawn back into the world he left behind when Jake vanishes, forcing him to confront unresolved issues from his past.
