De Bruyne Shines as Belgium Defeats Türkiye 3-0 in Nations League

In a UEFA Nations League match held in Liege, Belgium secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Türkiye, marking the latter’s third consecutive defeat in the tournament. The win bolstered Belgium’s position in Group A1, moving them to six points, just one point shy of group leaders France.

The match’s standout performer, Kevin De Bruyne, was instrumental in Belgium’s success, scoring twice to lead his team to victory. De Bruyne opened the scoring with a well-executed goal after a clever exchange with Dodi Lukebakio, striking from the edge of the penalty area. As Türkiye sought an equalizer, they struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, allowing De Bruyne to double Belgium’s advantage with a superb curling shot into the top corner.

Belgium’s dominance continued as Romelu Lukaku, who entered the match as a substitute in the 61st minute, added the third and final goal. Charles De Ketelaere set up Lukaku with a precise low cross, which Lukaku converted from close range. This goal further solidified Belgium’s control over the match.

Türkiye’s defeat leaves them at the bottom of Group A1 without any points after three matches. They will face Italy on October 5, but will do so without Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz, who are suspended after receiving yellow cards.
