It introduces features that encourage healthier interactions with AI, such as allowing parents to set quiet hours during which their teenagers cannot access the service. In situations deemed high-risk, parents may also receive safety alerts, ensuring a layer of oversight in their children’s use of the technology.
In its efforts to cater to younger users, OpenAI has introduced additional protections around sensitive subjects, including eating disorders. The system is designed to limit exposure to potentially harmful information and guide users toward offline resources when necessary.
