Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cited the “eternal truths” binding India and Israel in a message of defiance against terror, following the deadly Delhi blast. He offered deep condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the eight lives lost.

“India and Israel are ancient civilisations that stand on eternal truths,” Netanyahu said. He argued that this foundation makes their “souls” impossible to “shake,” even when their “cities” are attacked by terror.

Netanyahu’s message was also one of personal sympathy. He and his wife, Sara, sent “deepest condolences” to the victims’ families and assured the Indian people that “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength.”

The Prime Minister’s message concluded with a note of optimism, vowing that the “light” of their nations would “outshine the darkness” of their enemies.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the blast has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency is probing the incident as a terrorist attack, with top sources suggesting a Jaish-e-Mohammad module is responsible for the car bombing.
